Ridgewood Golf Course hosted the second Daniel Schnoor Memorial Golf Outing Event July 2. Once again, we had a beautiful day; it was just perfect. The morning began with some delicious and addictive bakery donated by Tom and Sue Becker, owners of Becker's Bakery of Fairview Park. We had a great lunch, provided by Ridgewood Golf Course and a wonderful dinner provider by Nak's of Brook Park.

The support from our family, friends and community during these trying economic times was amazing. Once again, it shows how much our community cares about the future of its children. It is a wonderful feeling to reward these young people for a job well done. We have had the honor and privilege of presenting two scholarships on behalf of our son Dan's memory. Dan was a 2006 graduate of Parma Senior High who was a freshman at Baldwin-Wallace College when he unexpectedly died Nov. 13, 2006. He would be proud of this event and of his scholarship recipients Daniel McWilliams class of 2007 and Jack Ramunni class of 2008, two chosen from many deserving students.

Because of the never-ending love, hard work and dedication from Dave, Brenda and Dan's girlfriend Cassy Stakolich, the event coordinators, this event was a great success. Therefore, we will be distributing three scholarships to the class of 2009. We are so excited about this.
