Let's Tee-it-up for Dan Schnoor!
Dan Schnoor, Steve Thozeski, Mike Wankowski, Scott Boyert, Bryan Petkoff
The Schnoor family through the Parma Council of PTAs established the Daniel Schnoor Memorial Scholarship Fund in 2006. Currently, the scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior from Parma High School who meets the criteria that has been established.
The first scholarship awarded in 2007 was for $500.00. Due to the success of the first annual Daniel Schnoor Memorial Golf Outing and the dedicated and persistent hard work of event coordinators, Dave and Brenda Stakolich, we have tripled that amount. This years winner will receive $1500.00.
This would not be possible if not for the help of family, friends, local politicians and our business community. Our goal is to give several scholarships annually to hard working and deserving students.
Requirements for Scholarship
The applicant must be a graduating senior from Parma Senior High School
The applicant must have attended Parma Senior High School for at least two years
The applicant must have been an athlete involved in any varsity sport for at least two years
The applicant must have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
Reimbursment will be required if the applicant does not complete one full year of post secondary education
The applicant must attend an institution of higher learning within six months of the class graduation date.
