The Schnoor family established the Daniel Schnoor Memorial Scholarship Fund in 2006. Currently, the scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior from Parma High School who meets the criteria that has been established.
Requirements for Scholarship
The applicant must be a graduating senior from Parma Senior High School
The applicant must have attended Parma Senior High School for at least two years
The applicant must have been an athlete involved in any varsity sport for at least two years
The applicant must have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
Reimbursement will be required if the applicant does not complete one full year of post secondary education
The applicant must attend an institution of higher learning within six months of the class graduation date.

Attention 2012 applicants, we are now accepting applications for one $1500.00 award. Go to Parma City School's PTA's website and fill out their application form. Mail a hard copy to the
DJS Memorial Scholarship at 4535 Hillside Road, Seven Hills, Ohio 44131. We will be accepting applications through March 15th 2012.

I received the Daniel Schnoor Memorial Scholarship this spring, but more importantly, I met two of the most amazing and inspiring people I know. Mr. and Mrs. Schnoor gave me a sense of admiration to use this scholarship to help me fulfill my own dreams in honor of Daniel. Mrs. Schnoor said that Dan and I are a lot alike. That exact statement made me proud, yet obligated. Obligated to go to school on behalf of Daniel and conquer the challenges life may throw at you. Daniel would have gone far; it’s my goal to take over where he left off. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Schnoor family. This would not be possible if not for the help of family, friends, local politicians and our business community. Our goal is to give several scholarships annually to hard working and deserving students.
