Dan's family created the Daniel Schnoor Memorial Scholarship Fund to give local young men and women educational opportunities. They also wanted to continue Dan's legacy. Many viewed Dan as being the Heart and Soul of the football team, but with his infectious smile, engaging personality, and gift of laughter, he was the Heart and Soul of his friends and classmates. He was truly a special person that touched so many individuals and will be sorely missed.
His Junior year he won:

- Second Team All Pioneer Conference
His outstanding Senior year Dan received these awards:
- Team Captain
- Team Defensive MVP
- Team MVP
- 3 year Varsity Starter
- First Team All Pioneer Conference
- Pinnacle Performance Center Athlete Enhancement Scholarship and Athlete of the Year
- 2006 East vs West All Star Game
- Plain Dealer All Star Team
- Browns Head Coach Romeo Crennel's Aspiring Star
- Parma Amateur Athlete Federation's Performance in Athletic Fellowship Award
- All Northeast Ohio District
Parma Amateur Athletic Federation recently inducted Dan into its 2007 class Sports Hall of Fame with a Special Recognition Award.
Dan was also on the Homecoming Court, Prom Court and was voted by his class as most photogenic and best looking. Many colleges recruited Dan and he decided to continue his football career and education at Baldwin Wallace College.
